Passing of Bishop Cyril, Coptic Orthodox of Milan, Italy

Bishop Kirolos

Voice of the Copts joins with the Coptic Church of Milan, Italy wailing the loss of Bishop Cyril, the Coptic Orthodox Coptic Church of Milan, Italy and Deputy Pope for all of Europe.

Bishop Cyril died in his sleep on Monday, August 14, at age 65. The Coptic community of Egypt and around the world is shocked by his sudden passing.

Our deepest sympathies go to his family and the Coptic clergy as they mourn his departure. His soul is in the presence of the Lord as we grieve his loss today.

Goodbye to the glorious father;
Goodbye to the servant of the congregation;
Goodbye to the humble bishop;
Farewell to the lover of Christ.
