The Subcommittee on International Human Rights of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development, House of Commons,Canadainvites Dr. Ashraf Ramelah, president of Voice of the Copts, to appear before the Subcommittee to update members on the current situation regarding the persecution of the Copt community inEgypt. Dear Dr. Ramelah, The Subcommittee on International Human Rights of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development, House of Commons, will be undertaking a study of the persecution of the Copt community inEgypton Tuesday, November 15, 2011,at1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Committee would like to invite you to appear before it to update the Subcommittee members on the current situation. Each individual or organization will be given up to 10 minutes to make an opening statement after which the Chair will open the floor to questions from the Subcommittee members. The meeting will be held in room 237-C, Centre Block, Parliament Hill, inOttawa.
