has been campaigning for equal rights for Christian people in Pakistan since 1985. He is president of Pakistan Christian Congress [www.pakistanchristiancongress.org] and publisher of Pakistan Christian Post [www.pakistanchristianpost.com].
He has led numerous protests, hunger strikes, rallies and long marches with other leaders and members of P.C.C. to condemn discriminatory laws in Pakistan. Before being forced to flee to US safety, he was arrested many times in Pakistan for advocating the basic human and birth rights od the persecuted Christians in Pakistan. He challenged the blasphemy law through a petition in Lahore High Court and Supreme Court of Pakistan and he has also challenged the Hudood Ordinance. The government of Pakistan registered 21 false cases of treason and blasphemy against him on February 13, 1998 in Karachi, for leading a protest against the burning of Christian village Shanti Nagar in Punjab by extremist Muslims.
