is a journalist of longstanding from Balochistan — a Texas-sized stateless region divided among Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan –,

and now resides in the greater Washington DCmetropolitan area. In his professional career, he has worked for leading newspaper groups in Pakistan, United Arab Emirates and the United States, including Dawn and The News International [Pakistan]; Khaleej Times [Dubai]; The News Star [Gannett Corporation], The Gazette [affiliated with The Washington Post]. He is fascinated by the liberation struggle of Balochistan and the democracy movement in Burma [Myanmar]. His family is well-known for services for the community in Balochistan and Sindh in Pakistan and in Burma, where his sister was classmates with Daw Aung Sang Suu Kyi throughout their school years. He is the founder of American Friends of Balochistan and one of the founders of the International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (www.bygwaah.com). His passion includes writing about Balochistan, traveling, playing chess and making friends.
