Voice of the Copts, a nonprofit organization, fights the spread of Islamic supremacy and Sharia throughout the Western world through education, advocacy and action. By drawing attention to the suffering of Coptic Christians in Egypt, it endeavors to educate the Western world as to the chilling effect of Sharia (Islamic law). 60 Arrested in Egypt Anti-Morsi Clashes

Egyptian police beating of naked protesterEgyptian police beating of naked protesterEgypt's interior ministry announced Saturday that police arrested 60 people across the country during violent protests the night before targeting government and police buildings.

In Cairo, police arrested 30 people in clashes outside the presidential palace, the ministry said in a statement, according to AFP.

Opposition activists have organized nearly weekly protests every Friday that often dissolve into brutal clashes outside the presidential palace.

Last Friday, Islamist supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohamed Morsi staged their own rally in Cairo in support of the president.

The country is divided between Morsi's supporters -- many of them Islamists -- and liberal-led opposition groups that want more representation in government and amendments to an Islamist-drafted constitution.

The opposition organized mass rallies in November and December when Morsi adopted now-repealed powers placing his decisions beyond judicial review.

However, the protests have now dwindled in size to hardcore Morsi opponents and dozens of activists who target the presidential palace with firebombs (Molotov cocktails), prompting police to respond with tear gas and birdshot.
