The mainstream media is downplaying the terrorism of the past two years.
Asher Palmer and his 1-year-old son, Yonatan, were killed when their car was overturned near Hevron, after being struck by stones. Palestinian Arab stones
Moshe Ami of Ashkelon was killed when shrapnel from a rocket hit his car. A Palestinian Arab rocket.
Staff Sgt. Netanel Moshiashvili of Ashkelon was killed when a terrorist identified infiltrating Israel from the southern Gaza Strip opened fire at IDF soldiers. Palestinian Arab fire.
Said Fashapshe of Haifa was shot and killed by terrorists who penetrated the security fence along the border between the Gaza Strip and Israel. Palestinian Arab shots.
Cpl. Netanel Yahalomi of Nof Ayalon was killed when terrorists opened fire on IDF soldiers securing the construction of the fence along the Israel-Egypt border. Palestinian Arab fire.
Mirah Scharf, 25, Aharon Smadja, 49, and Itzik Amsalem, 24, were killed in a direct rocket hit on an apartment building in Kiryat Malachi. A Palestinian Arab rocket.
Cpl. Yosef Fartuk of Emmanuel and Alayaan Salem al-Nabari from Rejwan in the Negev were killed by mortar fire in the Eshkol Regional Council area. Palestinian Arab mortar fire.
IDF reserve officer Lt. Boris Yarmulnik of Netanya was mortally wounded by rocket fire. Palestinian Arab rocket fire.
Evyatar Borovsky of Yitzhar was stabbed to death. A Palestinian Arab knife.
Sgt. Tomer Hazan of Bat Yam was murdered and his body concealed in a well. A Palestinian Arab well.
Sgt. Maj. Gal Kobi of Tirat Carmel was killed when he was shot in the neck at a checkpoint near Hevron’s Cave of Patriarchs. Palestinian Arab fire.
Retired IDF Colonel Seraya Ofer was beaten to death by men wielding metal bars and axes outside his home. Palestinian Arab axes.
Pvt. Eden Atias of Nazareth Illit was stabbed to death on a bus at Afula’s central bus station. Another Palestinian Arab knife.
Salah Shukri Abu Latyef of Rahat was shot and killed by sniper fire near the Israel-Gaza border fence. Palestinian Arab fire.
This list of Israeli victims of terrorism includes only the last two years of Palestinian Jihad. And I didn’t mention all the Jewish toddlers stoned while travelling in their cars. I didn’t list the buses that were nearly blown up either and that happened just last week.
But despite all this evidence, the Israeli media daily runs articles saying that this is not an Intifada, that Israel has a “partner” and that the Arabs are not interested in spilling Jewish blood.
The very opposite is true: that this is an ongoing pogrom, Israel has only enemies, the terrorists from the areas controlled by the “moderate” PA are statistically more lethal to Jews than those from Hamas areas, but in general Palestinian Arab terrorists still love to smash the faces of Jewish children.
The complacent Israeli media, which downplays the threat of Arab-Islamic hatred, is going to have Jewish blood on its hands.
The only Israeli photographer to win the Pulitzer Prize, Oded Balilty of The Associated Press, got the award for his image of a Jewish young woman defying the Israeli security forces during the desruction of the Amona outpost in Samaria. That photo was a double whammy, it fabricated the image of the “settlers” as Jewish colonialists and the IDF as attackers of helpless women.
There are many who see the Haaretz newspaper is the symbol of the Israeli appeasement to terrorism. But the entire mainstream Israeli media establishment is infected with this malady of Jewish self hatred, appeasement, indolence, self-righteous expertism, cynicism and self-deprecation.
For those exemplars of the Israeli media, Arab killers and Jewish victims are jumbled together as components of a cycle of violence.
The Israeli media, which forges zeitgeist and orchestrates political crusades like that of the former Shin Bet heads, accepts the killing of Jewish lives without any significant resistance. And the Israeli media propagates the false prophesies on the need and duty of “disengagement”, another name for Jewish self destruction.
I will not forget that the killers of Ido Zoltan in Samaria were members of Mahmoud Abbas’s police force. They employed weapons authorized by the Israeli government, but that weapons handover was first blessed by the Israeli mainstream media.
