Marking President Barack Obama’s re-election victory, an Arab parody Twitter account tweeted that the president will be slaughtering a sheep as ‘sacrifice’ in celebration of his recent triumph, Al-Arabiya News reported.
The Twitter presidential impersonator, who has requested to remain anonymous, announced, upon first hearing the election results, “All Sheikhs from U.S. States and counties wishing to present their congratulations are welcome.
“I promise to divorce my wife, Michelle Obama, if I fail to deliver the requests of my people,” the “tweep” wrote in Arabic soon after Obama was reelected.
The “Arab Obama” also promised to implement Shariah and “liberate Palestine from the Israelis,” according to Al-Arabiya.
The popular impersonator, who had launched the account in June 2011 and already has more than 130 thousand followers, said he would have closed the account if Obama had lost the election.
“A few hours away and the fate of my account on Twitter shall be determined- either I continue to tweet for another four years or I shut down my account,” he told Al-Arabiya upon waiting to hear the results of the 2012 presidential election.
“Everyone is invited over to Obama’s place to celebrate the victory,” wrote the impersonator, to which a user replied: “congrats to you, our leader… I don’t know how Twitter would’ve been without your existence. My regards to Sasha’s mother and the kids.”
Some even attempted to spread his news saying, “Re-elected President Obama preforms Friday prayers along with 10 marines to celebrate his new victory.”
Twitter said the 2012 presidential election was the most tweeted event in the history of U.S. politics with more than 20 million tweets.
